This commercial mixed-use project occupies a total area of approximately 240,000m² on the site of the Expo 92 world fair. The lighting design project is from production of concept, coordination of detail design through to on-site supervision. The lighting design takes into account views into and out of the plaza and tower. The sensitive integration of luminaires into the architecture reduces visibility of luminaires, improves visual comfort and supports the geometry, rhythm, and textures of the architecture. The project is designed for LEED Platinum classification, with low maintenance and sustainable light sources, luminaires and lighting detail solutions.

The physical scope of works takes in all main public lobby and circulation areas in the 37 storey tower. This includes the entrance lobby and rooftop viewing terrace that will be used by the 5 star hotel located within the building. Our work extends to the main entrance lobbies of the 2 podium buildings together with their landscaped and pedestrianized roofs. These sinuous lower height buildings stretch across the site creating a pedestrian plaza with its own lighting scheme complementing the water features and terraces around the entrance area of the new Caixa Forum cultural centre.
